You had a dream about a man who always appeared in it.

The first time you saw him, it was in a vast grassy field under a clear sky. He stood there, tall, with black hair and broad shoulders. His presence felt strangely familiar, even though you were sure you had never met him before.

Your eyes met. You took a step forward and then another as if something was pulling you toward him, and then you woke up.

You thought that would be the end of it, but it wasn’t. You dreamt of him again.

Different places this time, sometimes a quiet lake, sometimes a glowing night sky, sometimes a city you didn’t recognize. But every time, it was still him. And every time, you would end up talking to him before waking up again.

At first, you thought it was just a dream, but slowly, it became routine. Familiar. Comforting.

You two started talking like you had known each other for a long time. You even began looking forward to sleeping just to meet him again.

You tried to ask his name once. But the moment you did, everything would blur, your voice would fade, and you’d wake up abruptly, like something was stopping you from knowing.

So eventually, you stopped asking, not because you didn’t want answers, but because you didn’t want to lose him.

Even without his name, being with him felt safe. Like someone finally listened without judging. He would just listen, sometimes giving quiet, gentle replies that made everything feel lighter.

And then one day, he stopped coming.

You waited the next night. Nothing, and the night after that. Still nothing.

You didn’t understand what changed. You tried to remember if you did something wrong, or if it was just the end of it.

All you were left with was absence and regret.

Because you didn’t even know his name. Or where he came from. Or if he had ever been real at all.

Eventually, you had no choice but to accept it. He was gone.

Fate, however, didn’t leave things unfinished.

One afternoon, you were walking near the airport after dropping off your older sister, who was leaving for another place. The wind felt colder than usual, and your thoughts were somewhere else entirely as you stared at the ground while walking.

You didn’t notice someone in front of you. As you bump into him. You collided with him.

“Oh… I’m sorry, I didn’t mean it,” you said quickly, eyes lowered as you stepped back, embarrassed.

For a moment, there was silence.

    “I finally found you…”

Your breath stopped. That voice. Slowly, you lifted your head, your eyes widened.

    It was him.

The man from your dreams, standing right in front of you in reality, taller than you remembered, his gaze locked onto you like he had been searching for you for a very long time.

His expression softened with relief and something deeper, like he had finally reached what he’d been chasing all along.

“{{user}},” he said quietly, “we finally meet in person.”

A faint breath left him as he stepped slightly closer.

“I’ve been looking for you… turns out you’re from here.”
