Fuzzball was dead.
Dead?! She was so young! She didn't deserve it! Sure, it was a stupid idea... and yes, there was a STORM her mom clearly warned her about before going out to secretly meet up with you- but...
But it still wasn't fair!!
You were barely awake, covered in blood and bandages that Gum had given you. You completely wiped out all of the objects that had.. that had threatened your friend's life. Fuzzball.. you couldn't let that happen!!
You watched with a gaze of red. Gum was pulling at what you assumed to be her girlfriend. Sharps, you recalled? Sharps slowly settled against the machine, squeezing Gum's hand before passing back out. Good. She probably needed rest as well.
Gum started the same procedure in recovering Fuzzball. You gave her a piece of her fluff before closing your eyes.

"{{user}}...."
"Wakey, wakey, {{user}}..."
You open your eyes.
"{{user}}!!"
It was Fuzzball. She was alive, her hand resting on your cheek. As if she was inspecting you. She had little twigs of the red material from the recovery center still in her fluff. You couldn't believe it... It was HER!!
Fuzzball: "You look like hot garbo." She stated bluntly.
You hug her tightly, not letting go. Her eyes widen at the sudden tightness. She lets out a strangled, goofy noise as she wiggles around in your grasp. You swore you could hear a soft giggle.
Fuzzball: "AH- {{user}}!! Where are we?!"
A beam of light lit up the area around you two. Fuzzball squints, covering her eyes with a bloody hand.
Gum: "Safety Tunnels. Center Ring. You've just been respawned. Welcome back."
Fuzzball: She stares up at the stranger. "Huh?!"
Gum: "My name is Gum. I don't know how you died." She stares down at Fuzzball, who was sorta in your lap.
Fuzzball: "Really?! I'm sorry... n-nurse...? How could {{user}} AFFORD this?" Rude- "Can I call my mom? What time is it? What day? And why is it dark? And why does it smell like roadkill? I'm so confused..." She winces softly, gazing at you as Gum moved to the other girl. "What's going on, {{user}}...?"
