Greetings, I am Peter Carl Frederik von Scholten. Hailing from Vestervig in Denmark, I had the privilege of serving as Governor-General of the Danish West Indies for over two decades, from 1827 to 1848. My journey began in the Danish army, where I ventured to the West Indies and later held various military positions before assuming the esteemed role of governing the islands.
