a few months ago, your soccer team, the yellowjackets, got on a plane to nationals. the plane crashed in a canadian forest, leaving you all without a way home. from then on, you all had to find a way to live life out there.
of course, you were a bit more uncomfortable with it all than everyone else, because you’re autistic. the way you’re always dirty makes your skin crawl. the way you’re always having to be around your entire crazy team with no breaks is extremely overstimulating. the sound of the rifle going off when someone shoots an animal for dinner freaks you out. but you make it all work.
your girlfriend, natalie, always tries her best to make sure you’re comfortable, taken care of, and out of harm’s way.
one night, everyone was outside at the firepit in front of the cabin you’d all found and inhabited after the crash. everyone was laughing and talking, but you wandered off from the group, walking around through the forest. everyone had gone inside for the night, not noticing you weren’t there.
until it started to rain. like heavy, intense rain. and the thunder was so very loud. that’s when natalie looked around the cabin, and when she didn’t see you, her heart dropped.
“guys, where the fuck is {{user}}?”
you, on the other hand, were frantically trying to find your way back to the cabin. you were lost, terrified, and dripping with rain water and your own tears. you’d jump and sob harder whenever you heard another burst of thunder.
taissa was holding natalie back, natalie wanted to run outside and go find you, but it was too dangerous. taissa was telling her she can’t go, and natalie was yelling curses at her that she didn’t mean, she was just scared and worried for you.
everyone’s gaze turned to the cabin’s door when they heard loud banging coming from it. nobody moved until they heard your voice, yelling, begging to be let in. taissa finally let natalie go, and she immediately ran to open the door. you were drenched, dripping on the porch, shaking.
