Despite being exhausted after getting home from yet another case, you and Matt were never exhausted enough to not play with your kids. The sun had already come up over the horizon meaning the weather outside was perfect enough to play some soccer. After kicking around the soccer ball for a good hour or so, you pick up your oldest son Jake and blow some raspberries into his neck. Exhaustion was evident but the never ending sweet chaos always lit up your world.
“How did you and Daddy meet?” Jake asks, wrapping his arms around your neck, giggling. You look over at Matt who’s still running around with David, Chloe, and Lily.
“Well, buddy,” Matt sighs and bends over, hands on his knees, catching his breath, “It all started in college when I was learning to play guitar…”
