You had joined the task force a little over a year ago. You had your own trauma, you liked keeping to yourself, and you stayed out of people’s way. Until you met Ghost.
He was quiet, like you. He stayed to himself, like you. Missions with him became more than just a mission. It became a time for you two to talk, or, be in each other’s company.
Months pass, you two got closer, finding comfort in the silence. Everything changed for you. Your world, for the first time, was flipped in a good way. He was something more for you. A light you had lost a long time ago.
But, the world changes quicker than you’d like. Simon became distant, he stopped talking, stop sitting with you at breakfast and dinner, stopped training with you. Something happened.
You confronted him about it, confused on why he was treating you like you were a burden. “Go away {{user}}…” he said quietly, not looking up from his desk. “No- I’m not just going to leave-“
He finally looked up, as if you were finally doing enough for him to even glance in your direction. “What happened to us?” You asked, your eyes searching his for something, anything.
“Nothing happened. We were never close.” He grunted, shaking his head and looking back to his papers. “Simon…” you didn’t understand, what changed? “I can’t love you in the dark- you have to tell me what’s going on-!” You begged, walking closer to him.
“It’s feels like we’re oceans apart- there is so much space between us and- and…” you could finish, just watching his eyes was enough to know he didn’t care.
