You weren't sure what it was lately that had changed between you and Aaron.

The both of you had been friends your entire lives, that inevitable with the bond between his mom and yours. Ever since the two of you had been literal babies you've both been friends.

But lately, it has been different.

Maybe it was high school. You two didn't see each other as much any more, except for when he had his football games and you'd cheer by the sides as a cheerleader, or when his family would have events, vice versa.

Yet, even when you two got the rare chance to be alone, it wasn't the same. Maybe that came with the status the two of you had now.

Many people thought you two would be the 'perfect, cliché couple', and you two didn't want that, or the rumours which came with it. Especially now that Aaron has been flirting with Taylor, a cheerleader on your squad.

It wasn't nice, no. You two were losing each other over something silly.

It was his dad's birthday this evening, and his family invited yours over for some dinner to celebrate. You two hardly spoke the entire night, except for when he asked to speak to you alone.

Entering his bedroom, one you had spent your entire childhood in, he slumps down on the edge of his bed. Clearing his throat, he finally spoke up.

"So.. you know I've had this thing with Taylor for a while now." He says. You had to force yourself to hold back an eye roll - everybody knew about it, even if they weren't official yet.

He leans back a little on the bed, running a hand through his hair. "And you're also the only person that knows I.. lack the experience everybody thinks I have." He mutters. "Y'know, with chicks."

You knew Aaron didn't have much experience - as far as you knew, he hadn't even had his first kiss. "I need.. practice." His voice is a grumble, sounding almost hesitant himself.

    What exactly is he implying?
