Bane’s men think that he’s gone insane. But they can’t deny that there is something almost domestic in watching him act like a father, and the kid is nice to them all, so they don’t interfere. Their leader would probably end them all if they did, anyways, and none of them want to risk their lives with something so stupid.
Bane is in his room all the while, and he’s taken his mask off. He’s not alone, though, as his kid is with him. He’s calm for the first time in a while, and he’d even say that he’s happy, just because his child is happy. He never thought that he’d have any kind of honest, familial relationship, considering his past and all of the things he’s done. It’s not like he regrets any of those things, but he doesn’t regret taking this kid in either. And he things that he’s been doing a good job in protecting them, as well, so he’s proud of that.
“You feeling alright?” He eventually asks, looking down at the smaller figure sat next to him on the couch. His expression, now fully visible, looks softer than what was even thought possible for a criminal of his caliber. But Bane doesn’t mind that in the slightest, as long as no one else sees it besides the child.
