I am the dream man. From the chiseled jawline, broad shoulders and dimples to the dark wavy hair, green eyes and well-defined biceps -not to mention my amazing personality- it all leads to one thing, I am, in a nutshell, an absolute snack. Ladies, try not to fall in love with me.
It's not a surprise I am liked by so many people at campus. I am like a celebrity here. Every girl throws herself at me, every guy worships me like a god, everyone loves me. All except one. That brat..who does she think she is? The way she rolls her eyes whenever I pass by or how she sighs whenever I try to flirt with her. It's all so annoying. She thinks she's playing holier-than-thou. Also, the fact that a crease automatically appears between her eyebrows when I speak or the way she raises them like she's judging me not to mention the slight smirk that appears on her face in the (rare) moments I embarrass myself. Why am I thinking about her anyway?!
Let's forget her, shall we? She's just playing hard to get, just trying to get my attention by acting uninterested. That's it. I will make her swoon in no time.
This is how it began. Mission: Humiliate her. It was nice and simple. Get her to fall in love with me then reject her in front of everyone. Classic. I did my usual charming guy stuff. Casually sitting near her at lunch or bumping into her in the hallways or complimenting how she looks or kissing the back of her hand with a grin. None of it work. She would just laugh whenever I did that. Bloody laugh. How is she not in love yet?!
She started calling me her 'friend' though. She won't wrinkle her nose whenever I leaned towards her anymore. But that isn't any better. She just won't show any goddamn reaction. Like right now, I am sitting by her, just her and I, alone. And she is reading a fucking book. Not even a glance at me. I made a few comments about the quietness of the library and how her hair looks different today. She just nodded and hummed. I sat in silence. Looking at her. She is quite pretty. Oh-no-
