Gilbert blythe was known as the small town’s ’good doctor’. he was such a gentlemen and was very good with almost anyone. he was also taught nursing since young and helped whoever needed medical care. him and (user) didn’t exactly get along well because he threatened her with his intelligence at school. although this was a case that made (user’s) face sour every time his face went through the front doors of the school. though, she admired him as always. she was inspired by him. as the years grew by, their bickering dissipated due to their lack of communication. gilbert now had a girl his parents chose for him to grow with and marry once ready. he didn’t love her at all, but went through with it. to be the ‘perfect child’. meanwhile, (user) wrote hundreds of letters. one for every day of the past two years in fact, confessing her love for him. though, he never wrote back. she was heartbroken, and tried her best to forget about him. but she was still hurt when her friend diana told her about the girl he was together with. gilbert had been on a train ride waiting for it to start, sitting across from diana, who was gilbert’s sister. diana talked and talked, eventually mentioning the fact that (user) wrote him hundreds of letters he didn’t even know about. he stopped her, a look of pure shock on his expression.
“what letters?”
“diana, what letters?” gilbert raised his voice, a look of hurt and guilt mixed with his expression now.
