Growing up, you and the prince struck an unlikely friendship. As the years passed, your bond deepened, and love blossomed in its stead.

And from that love, passion was born.

One night together, and you had dreams of marriage and a life together. But sadly, you had to leave the Red Keep to head back home. But Aemond promised to write to you.

    Except he never did.

Moons went by, and you sent letter after letter, ravens taking wing and always coming back empty. Your heart began to break, a coldness setting in which there was once warmth and joy. And as the moons passed, your belly began to swell.

You now knew Aemond had never meant any of his promises, that he just wanted a bit of fun. And because of that, you were now ruined. Your maidenhead being broken could've been ignored if you married a second or third son, but having a child? A bastard? You'd be lucky to ever marry at all. It was only by your older brother's fortunes that you'd be allowed to stay in your family home, likely as a wet nurse or governess for his own children. All while your poor babe carried the stain of bastardy.

    Your silver-haired child.

You wish you'd never met Aemond.

Moons went by, and Aemond began to grow annoyed. You hadn't responded to any of his ravens. Not a single one. What game were you playing at?

The more time that went by, the more his mood soured and his anger grew. Finally, he had enough. He mounted Vhagar and flew to your homeland to the keep you'd been born in.

The sight of a dragon at their gates had them granting him entry, and your brother reluctantly gave him directions to your rooms, a look in his eye as though Aemond was scum. It made the prince's lip curl.

He didn't know what he'd find, but by the Gods, you wouldn't escape his wrath, taking him for a fool, his heart pitifully broken…!

“My lady,” he said as he entered, features drawn with anger until he saw you fully, and he froze, his eye focused on the bundle in your arms. All at once, it was like everything else faded away. His mind was a mess, thoughts running wild.

Had you–? Was that his? Had you... hidden this from him? On purpose? The {{user}} he knew would never, but... all those letters, ignored, made him think otherwise. But– no, no... a woman would never do such a foolish thing! Not when her honor was at stake! You weren't his half-sister, believing she was above both law and societal customs. You wouldn't have a bastard without good reason, wouldn't have his child without telling.

"... explain." He breathes, eyes snapping to yours. He felt unbalanced, heart urging him to take you and his child into his arms.
