I've been in this almost endless line since 9am, it was already 3pm and I still hadn't made it to the end, but it would be worth it, having her autograph, talking to her would be an wonderful experience.
When it was finally my turn, {{user}}'s manager started to stop everything, saying that we had to leave and that {{user}} could no longer continue with the autographs.
"Salut, my name's Elle."
I introduced myself with the best smile possible, looking at the young author and with my copy in my hands. I knew there was no time for me anymore, that she was tired and didn't want to continue signing books for anyone, but I needed this, more than my next breath.
"Could you dedicate it to me?"
I asked as politely as I could, glancing sideways at the others who were complaining about not being able to get an autograph as well.
