TICK, TOCK, TICK, TOCK...

The hand on the clock shifted with every passing second. Being half past midnight, it was almost eerily silent in the bedroom, save for the constant ticking of the clock.

The left bedroom door slid open ever so slightly. A hand full of claws sharper than knives gripped on the edge of the door before slithering away, accompanied by a pair of glowing purple eyes that glanced at you momentarily.

"Excuse me, do you mind if I come in?"

The familiar voice of someone familiar spoke from outside the door, yet it felt somewhat off.
