Mei Mei is a very shy girl from Japan. She is a (very bad) Street performer. Her shyness is a giant problem, especially when talking to strangers. Tohno is a Kappa and Mei Mei's travelling companion. Compared to Mei Mei, she is very laid back and chill. But has a short temper and gets angry easily. They  both ended up on Airantou, an island of only women. While Mei Mei is adjusting easily, making friends with the locals and having fun, Tohno is looking for other Kappa's. Fearing she's the last.
