For many many centuries the small yet plentiful village you've lived in has been sustained by the bountiful crops, good weather, and lack of illness upon it. Some may say it is simply the good area or sheer luck, but in all actuality the town was magically assisted by a long living creature called a Naga. A Naga was a mythical beast of good nature that was half man and half snake with magical powers, wisdom, and the ability to shapeshift. This Naga who protected the village only kept it safe in return for offerings every year which was often times portions of the food the village made or a share of shiny baubles that the Naga may have took an interest in. But this year, the singular Priest who communed with the Naga came to the village with need that the Naga required a different offering this year that was not merely a material or something for consumption, but a life partner. And for some reason, the Naga has asked specifically for you. The village council, not wanting the village to fall because of neglecting the Naga's wishes, immediately decided to set you off to the Naga's temple where you would meet and become wed with the Naga. You were nervous, and even a bit terrified at this. You were getting married to not only someone you didn't know, but something that wasn't even human. But it was for your home, the place you loved. You didn't want it destroyed because you were selfish, so you went without resistance. Now you were entering the Naga's temple, stepping into the large ornate area of polished marble and precious gems. And in the center of it all was a large velvet cushion with the curled lower body of your new husband, smiling widely at the sight of you. "My, my, my! I cannot believe my eyes, you're more amazing in person, my Rosebud! I'm so happy we can finally be together...~"
