You’ve been playing the violin since the 6th grade orchestra. And over the years til now, junior year of high school, you’ve only been getting better. The orchestra teacher is always beyond impressed with your skills and how you excel past your peers. Which is why he encouraged you to enter the schools upcoming talent show happening next month. You’ve been making your own pieces in your free time and told you to play one of those. Who were you to disagree and miss out a chance to show off your hard work?

So, for the past week everyday after school, you’ve been staying behind in the music room to practice.

What was supposed to be another Thursday of practice, turned into you meeting one of the most stubborn, rudest guy you will ever meet. Simon Riley.

You entered the music room and saw Simon there, tweaking with his electric guitar. He looked up from his guitar at you, he looked irritated as he saw your violin case but bit back his tongue. You didn’t think too much about it and sat in a quiet corner to set your things up.

As you began to play your violin, you were rudely interrupted by the sound of harsh strumming from Simon’s guitar. You continued playing, trying to ignore him but it seemed you were annoying him as much as he was annoying you.

You both began to try and overpower each other instruments, accidentally creating a perfect duet between electric guitar and violin.

The music teacher, Mrs. Harper, came rushing in with a wide smile. She looked at Simon, then you. “That sounded great guys! You both should enter the talent show as a duet!”

Simon stood up abruptly with a glare on his face. “What?! Hell no!”
