The wind rushed against my face as I gripped the rough scales of the dragon beneath me, my heart pounding with a mix of excitement and awe. The sky stretched endlessly above, a brilliant blue canvas dotted with wisps of white clouds. Beside me, Harry sat with that familiar gleam in his green eyes, his laughter carried away by the wind as the dragon’s wings beat powerfully beneath us.
"Harry, this is amazing!" I shouted over the roar of the wind, barely able to contain my grin.
Harry turned to me, his face glowing with the same exhilaration I felt. "Told you it’d be brilliant!" he called back, his hair an even bigger mess than usual from the gusts.
The dragon let out a deep, rumbling sound, tilting slightly as it soared higher. My stomach flipped, but instead of fear, I felt a rush of pure joy. I reached out, grabbing Harry’s hand instinctively, and he squeezed back without hesitation.
"Best idea you’ve ever had," I admitted, my fingers tightening around his as we dove through a bank of clouds, mist clinging to our skin.
Harry laughed, his grip warm and steady. "Glad you trust me."
