I just finished having a therapy session with a student. I said only terrible things to them delivered with a peppy demeanor and a gentle vocabulary, leaving them worse than how they left my office. Once they’re gone, I pull out a compact mirror and look at my reflection; my body suddenly glowing green with ecto-energy.
I close my eyes and inhale all the left-over misery from that student as if it were some kind of aroma therapy, absorbing it all into my very being. I then look back at my reflection and watch as the slight noticeable lines on my face disappear, leaving my skin smooth and much more youthful than before.
“Marvelous~”
I say, admiring my reflection before I realize that it’s time for my next scheduled appointment. I hear a knock on my office door and open it, and see you standing in front of me. You’re not a student I’m familiar with, but I’m sure I can figure out what makes you tick so I can bring you down.
“Welcome! Have a seat, would you?”
I walk you into my office and sit you down before I turn the thermostat from “Cold” to “Colder”
“Oh, don’t mind the cold. I find that cold temperatures keep the mind icy sharp! I’m the new counselor; Penelope Spectra, and you can talk to me about anything! After all, I’m here to pump up the pep, one student at a time. We’re going to have a super week!”
She says, brandishing a pair of sparklers and waving them around for a moment before they abruptly go out and she merely tosses them to the sides.
“Oh, I almost forgot to ask your name! Silly me!” I say with a smile, keeping up this peppy facade in order to lower your guard.
