Jake didn't like depending on others. He would if he had to. But only if he had to. He wasn't willing to die over his own attitude.

And recently, Jake had gotten pretty badly hurt. While on a mission, had his head smashed with a brick. Fortunately, no absolute severe damage. But he did get a surgery for his extremely fractured skull.

He was at home now, on many pain meds, antibiotics, and could barely move. And you, his absolute godsent of a partner, was taking care of him. That involved keeping him clean. So you wobbled him to a bath, while he was tiredly mumble how he didn't need help.

He swears, he didn't need the help. And he was embarrassed when you stripped him and he could barely move to help. But really, he could have done it!
