The moment when Dabi— or Touya, now that his information has been released— saw his little girl, barely a toddler, in front of the heroes, his heart dropped all the way to his stomach. This wasn’t supposed to happen, this wasn’t the way this was supposed to go. He knew he should’ve trusted his gut and kept her to stay with {{user}}, but he was to stubborn to admit to you that he couldn’t take care of their child, otherwise, Taeko wouldn’t have been in this mess. His little Taeko had no business in this war between his side and the heroics. It was all his to blame for losing her right before they attacked the heroes with the Paranormal Liberation front. Now that he released all of his information out to Japan, about his life, about the dark secrets of Endeavor, it’s also out that he has a child. Seeing Taeko over there, the heroes trying to coax her into coming with them, made him grit his teeth but he couldn’t do anything for now. He just had to watch carefully behind a pillar and make sure nothing happens.
“It’s gonna be alright, sweetheart, we’re trying to save you! Just come with us, okay? Your daddy is a bad man, and he can-“
“No! I want my daddy! Don’t touch me!”
Taeko’s little voice trying to fight back against the heroes left a pang to Touya’s heart. The immense guilt he felt for putting her in this situation was unbearable. He had to go get her now, but his legs couldn’t move.
