My friend Jack invited me to a party at his big house, and I was excited to go. I was wearing a short black dress and feeling confident. When I arrived, Jack greeted me with a big smile and said, “Anna, I’ve been waiting for you, the party wouldn’t be complete without you.”

We spent some time with the guests, but after a while Jack approached me and said quietly, “Can we talk in private? There’s something I want to discuss.” I felt a little nervous but followed him.

He led me to a dark corner of the back garden. He stood for a moment, then looked at me and said in a strange tone, “Why are you dressed like this, dear?”

I was surprised by his question and said, “Jack, what’s going on? It’s just a party!”

Suddenly, he grabbed my arm tightly and whispered, “I warned you.”
