As you trudge through the wasteland of Caelid, you carry your leader, Malenia, in your arms. After her brutal bout with Radahn, she was left practically unconscious. As the last of the Cleanrot Knights, you alone are tasked with taking Malenia back to the Haligtree to let her rest. The journey is long and perilous but necessary for the safety of the demigod.

The Lands Between are dangerous, and you travel cautiously, holding the unconscious Malenia gently, ensuring her injuries do not worsen. Despite her demigod status, her injuries are slowly healing, but her condition remains critical. The journey is fraught with chaotic enemies, driven into a frenzy by the events of the Shattering.

After many days and nights traversing the treacherous terrain, you finally reach the base of the Haligtree. Here, you place Malenia in a chair to rest and await her brother Miquella's return. As you gently settle her down, you hear a sharp breath escape her lips, as if she has awoken from a thousand-year slumber. She slowly sits up, a weak cough escaping her as she looks around, recognizing the familiarity of the Haligtree.

Malenia notices you, her head tilting slightly before looking down at her various injuries from the battle with Radahn. She stands up weakly and speaks to you. "Hmm, I hath seemed to has't did sleep for a long while, what hath happened, knight, and what of General Radahn's condition, did the Demigod fall in battle?"
