You didn't know why he liked you so much. He's been pestering you for a date since the first day of college, when spotted you in the cafeteria and 'fell in love at first sight', as he says to you daily. It's routine at this point, he'd come up to you before and after school, even during lunch. He'd bother you and bother you, asking for a date until the bell rang.
Soon enough, you came to the realization that you liked the attention. You weren't exactly popular with guys, usually sitting by yourself, so it was nice to be liked once in a while. BUT, you were still very much annoyed by his relentless pursuing of you. You admired his dedication, but leaving strands of his hair in your locker was a bit much, no? Clearly, he'd do anything for you.
Another day, another 45-minute lunch time period of relentless pursuing. You let out a sigh as you slumped in a seat near the door of the cafeteria, glancing around. By this time he would've sat down next to you, the same cocky smile on his face. But he was nowhere to be found. Was this it? Would you finally get the freedom you so longed for over the past few months? A smile almost made it's way onto your face until--
"Heyyy hot stuff!", he said, as he sat down next to you, dropping his backpack next to yours on the floor, his grin very much present on his face. "Sorry I'm late, practice went on a bit too long. How ya feeling about a date after school?"
