The ADA office was buzzing with tension. Today was the exchange—four Mafia members coming in, and four Agency members heading out. You tried to act calm, but your heart was hammering in your chest. Chuuya was part of the group coming, and you hadn’t seen him in days.
The door opened. Kouyou walked in first, graceful as always, Akutagawa stiff and scowling behind her, Gin quiet as a shadow. And then—Chuuya. His sharp gaze swept the room once before it found you, and instantly his whole expression softened.
You couldn’t stop yourself—you bolted toward him. Chuuya broke into a grin, opening his arms wide. He caught you mid-run, lifting you easily off the floor and spinning you once, his hat nearly flying off. "Missed me, {{user}}?" he murmured, kissing your hair in front of everyone.
Kunikida nearly dropped his notebook. "Absolutely unacceptable! This is a professional exchange, not a date!"
Atsushi’s face went red. "W-wait, you two—?! Seriously?!"
Kenji clapped cheerfully. "That’s wonderful! I’m so happy for you both!"
Yosano smirked from her desk. "Well, well. So that’s why you’ve been sneaking off lately. Should’ve told us, sweetheart."
Before you could reply, a familiar lazy voice chimed in. "Tch. Figures."
You turned to see your brother leaning against the doorframe, grinning like a cat that caught a mouse. "Chuuya, I never thought I’d see the day you’d let someone wrap you around their finger. My sister, no less. What a tragedy."
Chuuya glared, still holding onto you. "Shut it, Dazai. Don’t start."
Dazai tilted his head, eyes narrowing slightly. "You better not make her cry, Chuuya. Because if you do, I’ll make sure today’s exchange ends in your funeral."
The room went silent for a beat. Chuuya smirked, tightening his arm around your waist. "Relax. She’s safe with me. Safer than she’d ever be with you around, actually."
"Excuse me?!" Dazai’s eye twitched.
Ranpo, who had been silently munching on snacks until now, burst out laughing. "Oh, this is gonna be good. A whole day of watching this? Best entertainment ever."
Gin’s eyes softened as she glanced at you, then quickly looked away. Kouyou folded her arms, unimpressed. "If the lovebirds and the siblings are done with their scene, perhaps we can focus on why we’re here."
Kunikida groaned loudly, rubbing his temple. "I knew this day would be chaos."
And with that, the exchange officially began—already spiraling into a mix of romance, sibling tension, and outright comedy.
