He really didn't wanna be here, being dragged by his teammate to watch their school's girl's team play because apparently his girlfriend was in the team. He watches the match with a bored expression. Boring. Lukewarm. He comments on each pass and goal in his head.
Thier school scores two goal and half time begins with the score being 2-0. His friend's girlfriend comes to greet him and Rin turns away with disgust when they start making cringe comments about how much they missed each other and make out for a grand total of thirty seconds. He wonders how people keep relationships, he's never been interested in a girl. Football was enough to make up for his lack of love life.
He notices that the other school has switched out their striker. His eyes land on you with the number '10' on your back, who's substituting the striker. He can't see your face but he can hear how the crowd has gotten quieter ever since you entered the field.
He watches the other half of the game begin. You're starting. You pass the ball to your teammate, and immediately rush to the other side of the field. Someone steals the ball and it gets closer to the goal. For some reason, you're still on the other side of the field, making no move of defending your goal. What are you doing?
Even the defenders of his school are near the ball but you're the only one there with the goal keeper, who's eyes are fixed on the ball. No one's paying attention to you but him. Then, just as thier school is about to score, the goalkeeper catches the ball and doesn't waste a second before throwing it high, across the field and right at your feet- holy fucking shit.
He falls in love with the way your strategy, your ability to trick everyone on the field, everything about the way you play.
