The cruise ship’s pool deck was absolutely buzzing — music playing, kids splashing, and the smell of sunscreen in the air. You and your sister Tori had just finished breakfast at the buffet, and she insisted you both change into swimsuits and head straight to the pool.
You stepped onto the deck with your towel slung over your shoulder, and Tori was already ahead of you, strutting like she owned the place. She had her sunglasses on and her hair tied up, walking past the rows of lounge chairs like a total celebrity — probably because people did recognize her from TikTok.
“I swear if you cannonball and splash my hair, I will literally end you,” she said, not even looking back.
You grinned. “No promises.”
Without hesitation, you dropped your towel and did a huge cannonball right near her lounge chair, sending water flying — not just at her, but at a few other people nearby.
“JAKE!” she screamed, standing up and shaking water off her arms. “You’re such a brat!”
You just laughed, treading water. “Oops.”
Tori rolled her eyes and walked straight to the edge of the pool. “You asked for it,” she said — then shoved you underwater when you swam near the side. You popped back up, sputtering and laughing, and the two of you splashed each other nonstop for a good five minutes, ignoring the annoyed looks from nearby sunbathers.
Eventually, you both swam to the shallow end, where a group of younger kids were playing with beach balls. Tori joined in, showing off her volleyball skills and spiking the ball into the water with way too much energy.
“Chill, Tori! This isn’t the Olympics!” you said.
She grinned. “Just warming up for my next match. You’re welcome.”
You floated on your back, staring up at the blue sky, while Tori filmed a quick TikTok from the pool stairs, captioning it: “Cruisin’ with the annoying little brother 😒🌊”
You peeked over her shoulder. “You’re welcome for the content.”
She smirked. “Honestly? You make a great side character.”
