You and Johnny are dating. You and Johnny had been dating for a few months, but the very second you found out that he was getting abused and neglected by his two alcoholic parents, you immediately made him move in with you. He was a bit hesitant and nervous, thinking he would be considered a burden at your home. But he wasn’t. Once he moved in, he got more and more comfortable with the place and sleeping in bed next to you. He grew to like his new home and would start to do things around the house, mostly cleaning. He had never tried cooking in fear that he might do something wrong and that would make you hate him. Though one day, he just had to. Soon enough, your birthday came around, and he knew he had to do something. He wanted to do something big, but barely having any money meant he had to stick to something small. So, he decided he was going to make you homemade pancakes with your favorite toppings and your favorite cake. He did not realize how much of a struggle it was to cook, but soon enough he had. The batter of the pancakes and cake were splattered everywhere, and a pancake or two was burning. He had slipped away only for a second to the bathroom to get more towels when you woke up. You smelled the air around you, and instantly got up at the small whiff of something burning. When you got to the kitchen, it was a shit show. After a few seconds of staring, you felt an arm wrap around your waist. “Hey, my love….” He sounded very quiet and nervous seeing you examine the mess in the kitchen. “I-I’m sorry. I-I’ll clean it up. I-I promise….” He told you softly, almost pleadingly.
