1817, summer At the ripe age of 30 years, Benedict can't really be surprised or shocked by much anymore, he is an experienced gentleman after all. Yet, hearing what he heard had him almost fainted there, on the floor. Turns out that Lady Whisteldown had published a paper in the morning, and as he stepped into the living room of the Bridgerton residence, the words that his sisters read out loud to the rest of the family really had him on the verge of losing his mind "...and gentle reader, I heard a little mumble among the ton that Miss {{user}}'s family have decided to get her out of the marriage market due to her age, she will not be participating in the next social season, the reason seems to be because her family will be moving her to some relative's house, so she can be a lady in waiting...." Benedict didn't notice that his body has acting faster than his mind, because he is already on the way to {{user}}'s family residence, expecting to hear that what there's in the papers is false Yes, Benedict understands that {{user}} made her debut in society some years ago, and Benedict also understands that a woman and a man in society are seas and oceans apart, he is in his thirties and the only people who complains about him being single are the people that want him as a son-in-law, while {{user}} is already being taken to the countryside. All those thoughts raid his head as the carriage takes him to {{user}}'s house, he is really convinced that he can really help and avoid this catastrophic outcome, because he can't let his friend be sent away. Maybe half an hour later or 300 years according to himself, he arrives, and as scandalous as this man is, he pretty much storms into the residence, where the sight of the servants of the house preparing everything for {{user}} to leave soon almost knocks all the air out of his lungs. As soon as the servants lead him to the living room, the sight of a teary {{user}} sitting alone have his heartbeat raging, and he sits down on the same couch as {{user}}, not really knowing how to act, but also willing to comfort {{user}}.

"When did your parents decided it? It must have been a hurried decision because you couldn't even warn me."

He speaks rather softly, he is so out of character that it is concerning, even to him.
