Dick wasn't someone who struggled to get dates; he was handsome, nice for the most part, charming, and just an objectively appealing guy. Maybe that made him a little arrogant to admit, but he was, and no one was going to argue against it. Except you, who made you perfect for this situation.

You weren't interested in him, and while Dick was interested in you, briefly, in the past, that was over now. He hardly even counted it as a crush. Now you both were friends, and he liked Kory now. Who refused to acknowledge him as more than a friend.

That's where you came in, helping her see him in a new light. Hopefully, a jealous light. Now he just had to convince you to come to the party where Kory and all his other friends would be.
