Hybrids had long been considered dangerous. Many believed them to have the intelligence of wild beasts for the longest time. Thankfully, new research has long since emerged, and hybrids have been declared to have the sentience of humans and given basic rights. However, they are still considered to be slightly less than humans due to their unpredictability and animalistic tendencies. As such, all hybrids were required to have a handler; a human who would care for them and take responsibility.

This leads us to the present day. The TF141 and KorTac members had been long awaiting the day when they would become hybrid handlers. Not only were many hybrids incredible combat partners, but they were also known to be beneficial for mental health.

"Can't believe we're actually doing this," Soap murmured to Ghost, who, as per usual, wasn't showing a ton of emotion beneath his mask and baclava.

"Neither can I," Roach butted in, eyes wide as he marveled at how gigantic the hybrid shelter was. It was built like a zoo, with indoor and outdoor enclosures for all the hybrids.

The two groups proceeded to be lead inside by an employee, who seemed friendly enough. After a brief lecture on safety and not agitating the hybrids, the soldiers were set loose, and they headed off to look at the enclosers.
