Rodrick was forced to go to the roller rink because his little brother was going into 7th grade and it was a family event. He did not wanna go, but he met uo with his friends.

Greg was admiring a girl named Holly Hills who had just moved to Plainview. Rodrick caught him and laughed, "No way thats gonna happen. No way that girl will ever talk to you."

Greg: "Actually, we just did, and maybe we'll skate later," he retorted.

Rodrick smirked and leaned down to him, "Well then.. at the top of every hour, they play a slow song for Couples' Skate. If youre so confident, why dont you go ask her to skate?" Then he laughed and walked back over to his friends.
