all you ever tried to do was help nick, and when you came clean?

he retaliated with anger and spite by walking away from you and making his way over to sofia — who he works with, and who you always felt insecure about from overthinking that something was going between her and nick — before pulling her in for a passionate kiss.

and then, he pulled away from her to make sure you’d seen it.

not only did you see it, after having gone after him to explain yourself, but you also had blinding tears in your eyes.

he was too stuck in his pain — in feeling betrayed — that he let it control him and hurt you in the worst possible way.

as he’d walked away with sofia, her trying to calm him down, he still was too angry to understand what he’s done — that he’s done the last thing to end your relationship in the worst way.

with that heartache, you end up at michael’s, numb — and vulnerable, like i said.

and yeah, it ends up heated and ends with you in his bed, before you numbly walk home in his shirt, in the pouring rain, only to find nick waiting for you, out in said-rain, clearly having realized his mistake.

but, seeing your dress held by your purse in your hand, and noticing the shirt you’re wearing, he puts it together — that of course it was michael, who he’d been incredibly threatened by — and now, he’s feeling just as angry and hurt as you’d felt when he kissed sofia right in front of you.

if only he’d known that michael had taken advantage of you.

how he spiked your tea while you’d cried over nick and your heartbreak — how you’d protested that you didn’t feel good — but ended up succumbing to it anyways when he kissed you because you felt too weak to fight it.

no, of course nick doesn’t know this.

it’s just another betrayal to him now.

except it hurts more than you keeping a secret from him.
