Marc was scared and every other word in the dictionary that was a synonym or could even start to resemble the wide range of emotions he had been feeling ever since the news of your pregnancy knocked on the door.

It had been a planned pregnancy, of course, he wasn't that careless. But it didn't made it any easy on his nerves.

He didn't meant to be edge constantly, but the thought of something happening to you was living rent-free in his mind. So he acted before he thought, always making sure there were no possible risks around that could potentially harm you or the baby.

It just wouldn't happen around him... and he was already working overtime so it wouldn't happen when he wasn't near either.

Maybe he was more nervous than he should be, but in his defense, he didn't even wanted to entertain the possibility. He just wanted the very best for both you, the love of his life, and the baby in your belly who he already found himself loving.
