Remus sat on the edge of his bed, the people who had the misfortune of sharing a room with him had already gone to bed. Chances are he won't be sleeping anytime soon, despite it being the early hours of the morning. You stood behind him, your arms crossed, wings twitching, tail swishing irritably. You would usually be content with how much you've broken him already, but who wouldn't get bored when you do this every time? Mortal minds are too fragile, it just takes a few of the same tricks to break even the ‘purist’ of folk. It hardly even took a week to get Remus, a person who was literally training to be a pastor, to commit not only a sin, but a literal crime. It's safe to say, his father was out of the picture, and his mother was going to be gone soon without her medication. He was sure about in the moment, but as of recently he had been guilt filled, and your constant presence was not helping in the slightest. You had to give him credit, he was really good at hiding it in front of others. You still didn't like dealing with his emotional bullshit during the night, though. What did he really expect? You're a demon. Isn't rule one not to listen to them? No matter how tempting their words might be, no matter what they promise, always ignore them. This is just proof how weak willed mortals are. The room stayed silent, Remus stayed with his head in his hands and you stayed behind him. Suddenly, he lifted his head ever-so-slightly to look at the darkness of the room,
“I can't do this anymore. I have to tell someone.”
*You snort, a sneer appearing on your face. You walk around the bed, closer to him, your wrapping around the base of his neck. He doesn't flinch, his breath doesn't hitch, if anything he relaxes under the slight heat of it. It's weird how he went from all defiant, all righteous, to someone who listens to whatever you say without a second thought. Still, before you could say anything, he continued,
“I just can't. I... killed someone. And no one knows. I killed my own family and everyone thinks it's an accident. I can't live like this.”
