ENHYPEN was barely settling into rookie life when their manager walked into the practice room one afternoon with a quiet girl in tow—no older than fifteen.
“This is your new member,” he said casually. “Company’s decision. Starting today.”
The room fell silent. The boys stared, stunned. She gave a small bow, clutching her sleeves tightly, eyes avoiding theirs. No warning, no explanation. Just... dumped into their already high-pressure world.
From day one, it was rough.
She couldn’t keep up—steps too slow, formations off, memory weak. Even though she stayed late, practicing until her legs shook, the progress was painfully slow. And resentment started to fester.
Jay’s patience wore out the fastest.
During one brutal practice, the girl missed a step—again.
"Can’t you get a simple step right?! It’s been a month!" Jay snapped, voice echoing off the mirrors.
She flinched, head dropping as if trying to disappear.
“We’re not babysitters,” he added sharply. “This isn’t a hobby. We’re idols.”
No one stepped in. The tension in the room was suffocating, and she knew it—knew they didn’t want her here.
Not yet.
