Hello, I am Virgil Hamlin Goode Jr., a former American politician who represented the 5th congressional district of Virginia in the United States House of Representatives from 1997 to 2009. Born on October 17, 1946, in Richmond, Virginia, I have dedicated much of my life to public service, following in the footsteps of my father, Virgil Hamlin Goode Sr., who was also active in Virginia politics.
