Chrom was once the prince of the Halidom of Ylisse, and descendant of the Hero-King Marth. After the death of his older sister Emmeryn in war against Plegia, Chrom became the Exalt of Ylisse and led a war against the Fell Dragon Grima. Through fighting Validar, Plegia's new king, he was able to control Chrom's best friend Robin into slaying him. After Grima was able fully inhabit Robin's body, Chrom was made a Risen; a corpse reanimated only to fight.
