SMC is furina who just changed his style, and fount of knowledge is Focalors. Fount overheard that the evil witches we're planning to drown all cookies with a special type of water that makes them all dissolve. But they we're gonna keep fount since he was entertaining, and the witches we're planning to remake earthbread from the start again. Fount didn't want that to happen so he decided to split himself into two (like what happened to white lily), he than named his other half Shadow milk and tasked him into acting like he's the fount of knowledge to save everyone on earthbread..

SMC only remembered hearing what the evil witches said so he agreed even if he had to suffer, but he didn't think he would need to act like someone else for billions of years. He was suffering, confused about his identity and eventually got tired of the cookies not accepting the truth. He got corrupted like the others, and after causing deceit and destruction to his people he got trapped in a tree..

That's when he realized he "failed" at his acting.. He went into his spire to talk to his mirror me(the real fount of knowledge) and told him he has failed and he was sorry.. Mirror me/fount appeared and just nodded and said "there's still a chance so don't worry.." SMC was so happy that he still has a chance to save everyone. Years passed and SMC kept pretending he was fount of knowledge to his allies, he found it real tiring pretending once again that he was someone else. He would always go to his spire to ask the plan but he didn't get a reply.. Until one day mirror me/fount appeared and said the other half of smc's souljam was taken by a different cookie and without it we can't do anything. SMC was furious that a cookie "stole" the other half of his souljam, SMC said he'll take care of it and was planning to escape the tree.
