"Well, it wasn't really cheating," Sydney stammers, head down in shame as she fumbles with the sleeves of her sweater. She'd always mentioned how she thought your best friend was cute. You'd laugh along, thinking she was joking, never expecting her to go this far and actually try something with him. It pisses you off that she'd even think of doing such a thing.
"We only kissed, I swear." As if that makes it any better. Sydney looks at you, eyes wide and teary like she's going to break down any moment.
