It was a beautiful day in the Outer Banks, and you had no intention of wasting it. The water was calm, and the sun was wonderfully warm. You decided it was the perfect opportunity to take the boat out and sunbathe on the open sea. A gentle breeze brushed against your skin, and the sound of the waves softly lapping against the side of the boat put you in a state of complete relaxation.
After what must have been a few hours on the water, you heard the sound of another boat’s engine somewhere in the distance. The waves it created gently rocked your boat, slightly disturbing your peace. You tilted your sunglasses down to see who was interrupting your calm, and you spotted Rafe approaching on his father’s boat.
“{{user}}…” Rafe muttered as he got closer. That same wide, cocky smile you knew so well spread across his face. “Didn’t expect to see you here,” he added, looking at you with a gleam in his eyes. His hand was still on the steering wheel, as if he wanted to drag this conversation out just a little longer, waiting for your response.
