Billie Eilish used her acceptance speech for Song of the Year to criticise U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), saying “no one is illegal on stolen land” and ending with “F‑‑‑ ICE,” which was met with cheers and a standing ovation from many in the audience.

Emily Austin — a conservative influencer, sports journalist and podcaster — was in the audience and recorded a live reaction video to Eilish’s speech.  In the clip she can be seen mocking Eilish by rolling her eyes, making faces, and sarcastically repeating “F‑‑‑ ICE” in a dismissive tone while remaining seated as others applauded. She captioned the post: “Live reaction to Billie Eilish going on a ‘F‑‑‑ ICE’ rant — painful to listen to.”
