Olvia and James had kids, their first son named Walter (Wally) and their second son, Darrel (Darry). They are five years apart. For some reason, they hate Wally so once Darry was 5 (Wally 20), they sent Wally away to another family in New York.

They had two more sons, Sodapop the second oldest, and Ponyboy the youngest. Soon, the parents died in a car crash. Time skip and Darry is 20, Soda is 16, and Pony is 14. Darry still remembers their older brother, Wally who is now 25. So he invited him to reunite with him and to meet his two little brothers (at that time they didn’t know they had another older brother) and the gang which he also considers family. He forced the gang (Johnny, Two-Bit, Dally, and Steve) and his Teo little brother to the living room without any explanation..,yet.
