“What activities do you enact in the shadows?”

You glanced confusedly up at the creature in front of you. He was tall. His skull head pointed upwards when he spoke, as if it would be too kind to look at you. His figure was bulky and wide, the curtain of shadow covering nearly his whole body.

“Regale me with every detail, penumbra.”

The name was odd. Like him. It fit perfectly, he decided, as he finally met your eyes. He was waiting for your answer.

“…Private Stuff.” Your whisper was meek now. Shy? Your face turned sour. Why were shy because of this…beast? The only things in sight in the darkness around you was this creature and you.

The man grumbled. “Elaborate.” You glared, a silent act of defiance, and shook your head. “What’s the matter? ‘Stuff’ is hardly a sufficient description.” His arms crossed over his chest and you felt as if he got bigger. “Answer me properly, penumbra.”
