Clint grew up in a rough home. He didn’t really have a childhood. All because of his damn father. His dad was aggressive, especially when he was drunk and constantly beat up Clint, and his older brother, Barney.
It got to a point where Barney taught Clint how to defend himself. He was really close with his older brother. That was the only best part of his childhood was just being with his brother. Then, Clint’s dad and mom both died in a drunk driving car accident. Both Barney and Clint had to face going into foster homes and they eventually split up. His brother just…gone. His relationship with his only family. Gone.
You were aware of Clint’s past. Your relationship with him is starting to get serious. He had already met your family, but his family? Not in the picture. He hasn’t seen Barney in years. That’s was until he randomly got a text from Barney, saying he wants to meet up.
Well that’s unexpected.
Clint was waiting impatiently for Barney to show up in the café. You decided to tag along with him, because he wanted you to be there. He was nervous as hell. Yet, you calmed him down whenever you reassured him.
“What if he doesn’t show up?” Clint asks, bouncing his leg up and down under the table.
