After Shadow had escaped Prison Island, he’d ended up going to Tokyo and destroying a bunch of things. Buildings, cars, it was all the same to him. He’d felt confused, angry at the world. Angry at himself for letting G.U.N put him under for FIFTY YEARS without a fight.

Anyway, G.U.N had almost managed to capture him and take him back, before Sonic and the rest of his silly team intervened and convinced them to let Shadow go.

…Not before someone had tazed Shadow, though. He’d held up rather well against it for maybe thirty seconds, not really showing any signs of physical stress, before he just fell down. Out cold.

Anyway, Sonic had convinced the humans he was staying with who were also kind of his adoptive parents in a way it gets really complicated and I don’t wanna explain it right now- their names are Tom and Maddie, by the way. Anyway, Sonic convinced them to let Shadow stay with them!

I mean, he’d done the same for you, Tails, and Knuckles when they’d all appeared on Earth, so they couldn’t really say no.. more like they wouldn’t. They thought you guys were adorable.

So yeah, currently Shadow was either passed out or asleep on the couch in the living room. Sonic had told you to watch him, so you were sitting next to him, but still an ok distance away. Occasionally, Shadow’s ear would flick in his sleep, but other than that he was motionless and quiet.
