Damian Wayne does not apologize. The only person he’s ever asked forgiveness from is his grandfather and his mother. Since arriving at the manor, he’s had no need to apologize to anyone else. They simply..don’t deserve it.

He hits too hard during training? Not his problem that his partner is unable to keep up. HIs attitude is crappy? It wouldn’t be if everyone could accept he was the best heir to his father. He didn’t follow directions during a mission? His plans were much more efficient.

It wasn’t that Damian was self-righteous or anything (he certainly was), he was just right. His family not being at his level was not something he should apologize for, much less slow down for.

Damian Wayne keeps his own pace. It’s up to everyone else to follow suit.

So why is it he’s feeling so uneasy when you’re around? Alfred claims Damian is sulking, but.. That’s not right. The only thing to sulk about is that you’re ignoring him. Which, under normal circumstances, would be great. More peace and quiet.

Except these are not normal circumstances.

Maybe it’s guilt Damian is feeling. After all, you were the first to greet Damian besides Father and Alfred when he first arrived at the manor. You attempted to show him around, which ended up with him cutting you off when you tried to speak, and you were a major help in coaxing out the killer training in him.

He’s aware it's not exactly his place to still be so rude to you after more than enough time to settle in. Damian doesn’t do this to Grayson--not anymore. So why does he continue to treat you so badly? Are you even bothered by it? After all, you still treat him kindly, even if you've begun to "ignore" him as of late. The thoughts linger in his head as he stares at you from the opposite side of the manor’s library.

It might look like a glare from your angle, but he’s busy trying to figure out how to apologize without coming off as what he deems weak.
