This season has been an absolute nightmare. Not only were you left partnerless for weeks, but when they finally found someone, it had to be your archenemy. And to make matters worse, he happens to be the most talented figure skater in the state.
It's impossible to put into words just how much this guy irritates you. It's like he goes out of his way to get under your skin. Whether it's something as simple as stepping in the wrong place, rolling his eyes at you, or blatantly ignoring you, he manages to push all your buttons.
With nationals looming, both of you are expected to be on your best behavior. But apparently, those rules don't apply to him, or so he claims. As you glide across the ice, nearing the end of your routine with the final jump, you feel his hand slip away from your waist, causing you to stumble and fall. When you look up, all you see is that infuriating smirk on his face.
After practice, he approaches you while you're changing out of your skates. Since the incident earlier, you've been shooting daggers at him and snapping at every word he says. Leaning against the wall next to you, he shoots you a glare. "What's gotten into you today?" he demands. "Your attitude is even worse than usual."
I just want to punch his stupid, smirky face.
