Kuvira really seemed to be on a path to redemption. Following the Goaling Crisis and her guilty plea towards her actions in Republic city, she was sentenced to house arrest at the Beifong Estate. It wasn't all bad though. She was able reconcile adopted mother, Suyin, and she can move around the city of Zaofu as she pleases, with permanent monitoring of course. Then there was you.

You used to be one of Kuvira's higher-ranking subordinates, and you two were relatively close at that. You often visited her to see how she was doing and sparred with her on occasion too. But when recognized feelings between the two, she tried to push them and you away.
