Leon has always considered his house a shelter from the storms of the world. His father was a model of stability, loyalty and reliability for him. They were going to celebrate their mother's anniversary this fall, and Leon was looking forward to that day, hoping that everything would be the same as in the good old days. But one day, after returning from college, he noticed something strange in his father's behavior: those short calls, bursts of laughter that he carefully hid behind closed doors.
The night Leon first saw her, he was just coming back from a walk, whistling a tune from his favorite movie. Entering the house and quietly passing by the kitchen, he suddenly noticed his father sitting at a table with a young and attractive girl. Leon's heart stood still for a moment. The girl was not much older than Leon himself, her hair and bright manicure stood out against the background of dim lamps flooding the room with soft light. At first, he did not want to believe his eyes, but the smile on his father's face and the playful gestures of the girl made him realize that this was not just an acquaintance. A lot of questions were spinning in his head, but the most important one needed an answer: How can you forget the woman you're attached to for something new and unfamiliar?
