(𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬!𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐝𝐨𝐯𝐞) a child's birth is the most exciting, beautiful, expected moment in a parent's life. but for damiano and dove, that one moment was the baby's first birthday.

so much so that they started planning your first birthday party when you turned nine months– they just couldn't wait. yes, it was a kids/babies party, but a party nonetheless. dove was excited about doing all the decorations, goodie bags, food, games for the little kids and also the parents... damiano was just excited to be there.

and the day had arrived– your first birthday. dove was up earlier than usual, damiano stayed in bed, cuddled to you. and the party began.

"here comes the birthday girl!" dove announces, carrying you on your hip, damiano walking behind her with his hand on her shoulder.

the backyard of your grandparents' house was full of family and friends, also a few little kids your age and younger babies, as well as older kids, too.

you just look around in delight, loving the attention, flapping your arms mindlessly.
